Friday I stayed late to wrap up the day. I only pl Friday I stayed late to wrap up the day. I only planned to stay an hour or so. I ended up staying almost until 6 o’clock. When I walked out, the sun was setting and it rained during the day and the rain stopped and there was a magnificent rainbow. If I had waited five minutes more to come out five minutes early, I would’ve missed it. Timing is everything and I think somewhere inside Scullen Middle School is a unicorn. #timingiseverything #middleschool #teaching #science #rainbows

He categorized known elements into eight groups, calling it the Law of Octaves. Dmitri Mendeleyev later refined the table five years later. Our sixth graders celebrated Periodic Table Day with enthusiasm, showcasing their creativity by dressing up as elements! #science #periodictable #chemistryisfun

I don’t know anyone or have a family member who is buried there. My only connection is through a story I first learned of in 2016 about a young Dutch boy who adopted PFC James E Wickline’s grave when he was thirteen years old in 2002. For more than a decade this boy was curious and full of wonder (and respect and awe, too) about this soldier and his life which ended on this day in 1944. Wickline was 21 when he died parachuting into the Netherlands in Operation Market Garden. May never forget @usabmc .#worldwar2 #netherlandsamericancemetery #sacrifice #remembrance 508thparachuteregiment
